SUBNET Solutions Inc. is a software solutions company headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, with offices in Edmonton, Alberta, the United States, South Africa, and Australia. Our focus is on solving device and data interoperability and management problems primarily for the power utility industry. We integrate cyber-security, operational technologies, and distributed system techniques together when developing solutions to these problems.

It is the essential function of the Project Manager to ensure that the cyber-security software solutions we provide are delivered on-time, on-scope, and on-budget. The Project Manager does this by coordinating all internal and external activities throughout the lifecycle of the project.

Successful Project Managers at SUBNET Solutions Inc. are organized, self-motivated, and have a passion for excellence. You will need to work well in a fast-paced environment, traverse various technologies, engineering teams, and client types.

Project Managers report to the Project Manager Team Lead.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define and clarify project scope.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, risk profiles, and baselines.
  • Assign and manage project assignments.
  • Coordinate activities between different departments and companies.
  • Track project progress, and refine plans and schedules as necessary.
  • Report project status to internal executives and customer project teams.
  • Travel to customer’s site to facilitate on-site meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Minimum 5 years of practical project management experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of practical experience with power utility automation systems, or equivalent.
  • Ability to travel within Canada, the USA, and Mexico for business.
  • Effective oral and written communications skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge in C, C++, and/or C# software development.
  • Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft CRM.
  • Practical experience with the Agile Framework and the Software Development Life Cycle.
