SUBNET is growing and is looking for an experienced and motivated Senior C++ Software Developer.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities of a Senior C++ Software Developer are as follows:
- Utilize creativity to design leading edge software and improve current software
- Work closely with services engineers to remain current with and anticipate client’s evolving needs
- Prepare and maintain requirements and design documentation
- Work with clients globally assisting with onsite deployment and project management of SUBNET systems
- Work with a technical writer to create and review manuals, user guides and other technical documentation
- Participate in industry technical meetings and conferences as needed to meet operational and strategic requirements
Technologies and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or computer Science or equivalent with experience in the following domains:
- C++
- STL
- MFC
- Object Oriented (OO) systems design
- COM/DCOM development in C++
- XML and related technologies
- Cross platform development for Windows and Linux is definite asset
- 5+ years experience in large scale application development
- Experience with SCADA protocols for the Elecrical Utilities industry such as DNP3, IEC and SELFM is definite assets
- Proficiency in oral and written English
- Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to innovative and progressive software solutions
- Proven ability to independently prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines
