SubSTATION Explorer™ 2015 Update 6 Release
Release date: October 28th, 2015
Background

The SubSTATION Explorer™ 2015 substation visualization and control application provides a powerful Human Machine Interface (HMI) experience with advanced drawing capabilities for faster and greater substation configuration designs.

Working with the SubSTATION Server data communications platform, SubSTATION Explorer 2015 resides on a hardened box (computer) within a substation. The box is connected to Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs) which monitor substation devices, typically through serial port or network connections. SubSTATION Server acts as the data concentrator while SubSTATION Explorer acts as the HMI, allowing the user to create custom configurations for viewing data and controlling equipment.
