The world's biggest professional organization dedicated to advancing technology, IEEE, announced this week that its July edition of the IEEE Smart Grid Newsletter is available online. The news comes as industry experts from around the country prepare for the IEEE Power & Energy Society General Meeting this month.
The IEEE Power & Energy Society General Meeting, which will take place this month in Detroit, Michigan, will bring together some of the brightest and most innovative thinkers within the smart grid sector. SUBNET representatives will be in attendance and they are scheduled to give a talk pertaining to proper data management.
The July issue of the IEEE Smart Grid Newsletter will help attendees of the conference, as well as industry analysts and those interested in learning more about the ongoing development of the power supply network in the U.S. According to the organization, the latest issue contains reports on how countries like China and India are moving to upgrade for the next generation power grid, among other topics addressed.
What's more, the issue contains information regarding best practices and the ongoing threats to the smart grid faces going into the next decade, including increasingly sophisticated and brazen cyber security attacks carried out by skilled hackers.
