SUBNET experts to deliver three presentations at DistribuTECH 2012

The development of the power supply network in the U.S. is a massive undertaking, with power providers, transmitters and distributors working to upgrade the antiquated electric grid. As utilities endeavor to implement various fundamental principles, along with the newest technologies available, many of the country's industry leaders are gearing up for the DistribuTECH conference.
Leading industry experts will be at the annual event, which is slated to take place in San Antonio, Texas, in January of next year. DistribuTECH features 13 conference tracks, more than 300 of the industry's leading speakers and a number of high-ranking officials who will present on a number of topics facing the sector.
The 2012 iteration is slated to be have the highest number of attendees in event history, with more than 8,400 people signed up. What's more, more than 400 companies will be exhibiting, presenting on a number of topics that face power providers and distributors.
At the 2011 event, more than 99 percent of those who attended said the quality of exhibitors met or exceeded their expectations. With such an exceedingly high approval rate, businesses were chosen to present are at the pinnacle of the industry, experts say.
Moreover, compared to other events that take place throughout the year, DistribuTECH is often cited by leading industry analysts as the most important, as more than 45 percent of 2011 attendees said it was the only event they planned to participate in all year long. Business deals are often struck at the conference as well, with 73 percent of last year's attendees orchestrating deals in between presentations and other such events.
SUBNET participates every year at DistribuTECH, and company experts have been chosen to present three presentations at this year's conference. SUBNET representatives are slated to speak about cyber security strategies for automation systems, substation management and automated wind turbine curtailment.
That SUBNET employees were chosen to speak about some important topics is a testament to the company' position as an industry leader. SUBNET representatives will address the crowd alongside the likes of Ben Stein, the actor, author and economist, and Jason Few, the president of Reliant Energy.
