SUBNET readies for 2012 IEEE PES Transmission and Distribution
SUBNET Solutions Inc | Monday, April 30, 2012
As utilities and vendors around the country gear up for the 2012 IEEE PES Transmission and Distribution tradeshow in Orlando, Florida, SUBNET is preparing its expositions that will display a number of different smart grid technologies.
At the event, which will be held May 7-10, SUBNET will be showcasing its latest technological developments, which have made SUBNET a leading multi-vendor substation automation expert.
SUBNET's total IED management solution will be discussed, which can help utilities comply with strict NERC reliability requirements using the SUBNET PowerSYSTEM Center solution. The system includes comprehensive IED configuration management, IED access control, IED password management and IED event file collection.
At booth #1763, SUBNET will also be showcasing its Unified Grid Architecture, which shows how to introduce a redundant substation architecture that is simple to both configure and maintain.
Following SUBNET's vendor-agnostic approach, SUBNET's substation data gateway is not vendor-specific, giving utilities the freedom to choose what hardware best fits their operation. At SUBNET's booth, utilities can learn about the many options for an advanced substation gateway solution.
The event will also feature opening remarks given by Dan Kirby, commissioner of Florida's second-largest municipally owned utility, and a keynote address by Lloyd M. Yates, president of Progress Energy Carolinas, Inc.
